Minecraft Source code leak

WARNING!

If you want to play this, it is best to compile the games yourself, since someone could’ve bundled a virus. Keep that in mind.

Someone leaked the old legacy console edition source code. And they also leaked the source code of the old minecraft pocket edition, and the minecraft spinoff games. It was officially first leaked on 4chan.

This sourcecode leaks have spread everywhere on the internet. The source code has been uploaded to Github, the internet archive etc.

Legacy Console edition

You can find it here in this repo (called 4jCraft). This one doesn’t add Windows support / keyboard support. For that you’d have to go to this repo (called MinecraftConsoles) instead. Someone also uploaded it to steam here under the name kogama which is the name of something else. There is also this website called Legacy Launcher | Minecraft LCE, where you can install it through an installer. This launcher is also findable on github: link. This launcher gave me an error tho when I tried to play it: LegacyLauncher Failed to launch.

Installing MinecraftConsoles repo

The MinecraftConsoles Repo already has a readme on how to compile it. If you are a Linux user you’ll have to try to use the nightly version through WINE.

Hosting a server

Currently it works fine on LAN, there is a pull request to make a dedicated server. This PR will make it easier to host servers.

Pocket edition

You can play the pocket edition leak here in the browser, but it doesn’t really have pc support. This person on twitter has fixed that though.
