Obsidian CLI

In obsidian v1.12.4 they added a CLI, a command line interface that lets you control Obsidian from your terminal for scripting, automation, and integration with external tools.

For installation help, check the troubleshooting section for the platform-specific information.

The CLI allows you to toggle check-boxes as shown in the video, but it also looks like you can do the following:

  • List all aliases in the vault or file
  • edit a file
  • list all back-links to a file
  • create/query/view bases
  • add/show bookmarks and about 96 more things.
