Spotify their AI problem
To be clear, this is not an article about Spotify flooding their own database with AI generated music. It is about me detecting other people uploading AI-Generated Music.
Timeline
Early 2025 I listened to a few songs of 2pointO, this is a Hatsune miku artist. But with the release of RAM i started listening more actively, and I started noticing that Hatsune miku didnāt actually sound like Hatsune Miku.
Then doing a quick check into their profile, 2pointO posts a lot of music, and only started after 2024. So I was convinced it was AI generated. And I blocked them
Good to note is that I discovered 2pointO through Spotify their āNew release fromā panel.
Jan 2nd 2026 I got this album recommended to me by Moca Prex. The voice doesnāt sound like Hatsune miku, and all songs are made in 2025. It is very likely to be AI.
January 6th 2026 Spotify pushed a new album onto me from Hatsune miku. Already thinking that is sketchy these days, I immediately look at the artist before listening. This artist pushed 9 songs in 2026, whilst we are on the 6th day of the year. And then I listened to it, and it definitely is AI generated Hatsune miku. Stella Kristiandatter is another AI.
January 8th 2026 Spotify recommended this album from AmoebaPi. It sounds just like 2PointO, and AmoebaPi only made songs in 2025 and 2026. It released 16 songs in 2026, that is more than days this year.
