Iāve been playing Minecraft on Steam Deck using this launcher for over a year now and I love it, but ever since I got my dock to play on TV iāve ran into a new issue where I need to get up from my bed to click on the menus using the touch screen and itās getting annoying. Is there any way I can just make it automatically launch the instance?
Open prism in desktop mode right click on instance -> create desktop shortcut
Open steam, add the new shortcut as non steam game
You should be able to access it through gaming mode now
I'm a Linux total noob.. but i kinda just "guessed" and it worked.
So after creating a shortcut to your instance with Prism Launcher, add it to your steam library as a nonsteam game. (You prolly already know this, Im just adding it for clarity if others stumble across this thread)
Then right-click the original shortcut (not the one in steam), go to Properties, and I think the Details tab. There will be the field for "Arguments." It will say something like "run org.prism..." etc, ending with the name of your instance. Copy everything in that Arguments field.
Now in Steam go to the options for your shortcut. Paste what you just copied in the launch options. Now you can return to gaming mode. It takes a minute to boot, but it worked for me
