InkOS and Mudita Kompakt brightness issue

So, I gave permissions to adjust the brightness of the phone from the simple tray. However, I didn’t realize that this would apparently override the native brightness slider?

To disable the permission go to Developer Options, search for Special App Access and / Modify system settings and open it and disable “allow modifying system settings”. Do this until next update. You can also do this via ADB with the following guide: maniging app permissions over adb - archlinux.

The developer has said the following on the matter: There is a bug in v0.4 that causes this issue. It has been fixed, but I haven’t finished v0.5 yet.
