InkOS does not show notifications from sideloaded apps
I had this issue where InkOS wasn’t able to view my Whatsapp notifications, nor my Spotify music bar. Whilst I know that it is possible.
Turns out:
- Did you give access to the notification permission when you installed inkOS? It would ask for that in the last page. Make sure by going to Settings / Notifications / Toggle off and toggle one Push Notifications and u’ll get the pop up again.
- After this it all depends on the app that you want notifications from not inkOS. If inkOS can’t see it, it doesn’t exist in the system. inkOS reads the notifications from the system not the apps itself.
Thanks Reddittor.
