Explenation

I am playing Minecraft, but my world starts in Alpha v1.0.1_01. I do this by using 30.04 Betacraft, hence the name of this project.

Every time I reopen Minecraft, I’ll update the game a Minor update. (no April fools versions)

~~Every time I die, I’ll restart the game in a newer version.~~

I will write down what I have done in every version in the log down below.

Every version is 30m max (until we get to the releases)

If I am watching Youtube with it, I’ll switch versions every time I need to find a new video, or the above if the video is longer. (until we get to the releases)

‘update the game to a newer version’ is always optional if it is on the same day.

This is a warp to the first Diary entrée.

I created a script to auto-commit. using 30.05 git LFS. Here is the Github repo.

Commiter is the script I made for this.

Project Birthday

This projects first documentation commit was on the 23th of April 2024. This is seen as the projects official birthday, since the exact moment is lost to time. This was posted on the 7th version, so it is likely to be the actual day.

Deu to how minecraft launcher lists the versions, you go back in time. and since i’d just keep resetting to the wrold backup, i am skipping 1.7.10-pre3, 1.7.10-pre4, 1.7.10 This means that the version number won’t be the correct snapshot number since alpha anymore.

From now on i’ll use the minecraft wiki to tell me what is the next version.

Technically the Minecraft launcher was correct, since the 1.7.10 released later than the 1.8 snapshot. Due to branches I’d guess. But it still makes for a stupid experience as an user.
